There seems to be a lot more positive stuff being said about this company. I hope it is backed by consistent results.

Will see if I can get Russell Trader Girl. Bloody well done on your trade.

KFC Cooking?

Postby Bongo666 » 02 Nov 2009 07:44

Getting my fix of KFC last night at 8.30pm Sunday the place was as busy as all hell, the wait wasn't too long and the staff were friendly. This is at an outlet that used to be one of the worst.

Shame Russel wont speak to me and tell me how he did it :P

Great result recently (an all-time high) but history would indicate that investors need to be cautious with this company as the consistency of results is patchy. If anyone can string together 2 or 3 consecutive good years then it is current CEO Russel Creedy.

RBD - RBD first quarter sales 2010

Postby Bongo666 » 01 Jun 2010 18:02

Good news that RBD sales are up for the recent quarter. It is true that KFC sales have reached a record figure in the last quarter of some $54 million(alot of chickens!) in 2010 dollars.

RBD investors need to look a bit deeper and include inflation in these sales numbers. The $54 million for the quarter would equate to $216 million in annual sales year on year and that figure is in 2010 dollars.

RBDs best year ever for KFC sales was 1997 when 172.3 million in sales were achieved - 1997 dollars.

To just match the 1997 level sales including a conservative inflation calculation, KFC would have to sell $239.5 million in 2010 dollars.

See this story for more detail.
